Roflex 65 plasticizer

Plastics are polymers of natural or synthetic origin containing a number of additives. In the plastics industry, pure polymers are rarely used, in such cases the achievements of processing technology, such as additives for plastics, are used. Plasticizers and flame retardants are important additives to plastics. In processing processes, the plasticizer causes a huge physical and mechanical change of the polymer-plasticizer system. It changes the structure of polymer chains, which under its influence move away from each other. This has a direct impact on the reduction of the glass transition temperature, i.e. the limiting parameter, the exceeding of which causes the material to change from a glassy state to an elastic one. The influence of the plasticizer determines the quality, intended use and mechanical properties of the finished product. Plastics surround us at every step and for our safety they are modified in such a way that under the influence of an igniting factor such as a flame or an electric arc, they do not sustain the burning process. One of the highly specialized additives for plastics is Roflex 65 , which, thanks to its plasticizing properties, significantly facilitates processing and improves the rheological properties of the material. Used as a plasticizer, it gives unique properties to materials and facilitates processes such as extrusion and injection. It also has the ability to make plastics flame retardant, thanks to which materials containing Roflex 65 are successfully used in applications requiring fire resistance. The plasticizer for PVC Roflex 65 is mainly used in materials based on poly(vinyl chloride). It is a plasticizer based on aryl phosphate esters.

The Roflex 65 plasticizer is used in industries such as:

• construction (e.g. construction foils and tarpaulins, roof coverings and membranes)
• plastics (PVC granulates, production of synthetic rubber)
• textiles and textiles (e.g. coated technical fabrics)
• transport (e.g. car tarpaulins, car linings)
• electrical engineering (e.g. cable sleeves, projection screens)
