Food grade hydrochloric acid 33%, net weight 1000 kg
Food grade hydrochloric acid - hydrochloric acid is an inorganic chemical compound, constituting an aqueous solution of hydrochloric gas. It has strong corrosive properties, a strong, irritating odour, and in terms of colour is between colourless and light yellow. The product is supplied to the market as a liquid with a concentration between 33% and 36%. It is of very good quality.
Warning! Hydrochloric acid is a dangerous substance. Even in vapour form, it can irritate the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. When using hydrochloric acid or its aqueous solutions, use appropriate personal protection equipment.
Hydrochloric acid is an aqueous solution of hydrochloride, a gas with a strong, suffocating odour, and is very water soluble. Strongly concentrated, when in contact with oxygen it creates dense, white, smoky vapours. The maximum acid concentration that can be reached is 37%. When concentrated, it is a strong poison that causes immediate irritation to mucous membranes. It has corrosive properties, is great at destroying sugar, fabric and wood, and causes burns.
Synthetic hydrochloric acid is used in the textile, chemical, pharmaceutical, plastics and dye industries, as well as in confectionery making. In the metallurgical industry, it is used to clean the surfaces of metals, as well as in the extraction of ores.
Hydrochloric acid is used:
• in the food industry; • in the pharmaceutical industry; • in water treatment (pH adjustment); • in the treatment of municipal waste water; • in industrial cleaning and washing; • in the power industry for the regeneration of ion exchangers; • in the production of industrial chemicals, including agrochemicals and plant-protection agents and fertilisers; • in the production of household chemicals; • in the extraction of ores in the extractive industry; • in the production of biofuels, oils and lubricants; • in galvanising processes; • in tannery; • in the textile industry; • in the construction industry as an additive to concrete and mortar, in the insulation of wires and cables, and in glues and building adhesives.
