ABSNa 60 belongs to the group of anionic surfactants. It is the sodium salt of alkylbenzene sulphonic acid (INCI Sodium Dodecylbenzene Sulfonate). The commercial product is in the form of a concentrated liquid paste with an active ingredient content of about 60%. This translates directly into high product yields, especially in the production of laundry powders. ABSNa 60 surfactant has a tendency to delaminate but becomes homogeneous when mixed. This phenomenon does not affect the essential characteristics of the product in any way.
ABSNa 60 works well as a component of powder and liquid laundry detergents. It has very good foaming properties, where foaming can be regulated by using sodium soaps and defoamer agents. In addition to its ability to form high foams, the product has excellent wetting, emulsifying and dispersing properties. Above all, it is an effective and versatile detergent. It works very well as an ingredient in washing powders, as well as gels and washing liquids dedicated to both professional and home use.
The product works very well in formulations with other non-ionic surface active compounds. It works very well in combination with ROKAnol L7 and ROKAnol L7A. ABSNa 60 can also be mixed with other laundry detergent ingredients such as sodium carbonate, enzymes and fillers, pyrophosphate or EDTA. Due to its degreasing ability, it is a very good degreaser in the tanning industry. It is also used to wash rawhides.
ABSNa 60 is an anionic surfactant that is resistant to hydrolysis in an alkaline medium. This feature predisposes it as a component of alkaline cleaning and laundry detergents for professional use. The product is also used in the textile industry to remove dyes from dye baths. In addition, it works very well for activating alumina during concrete production. It is also a very important aerating admixture for concrete and mortar.
ABSNa 60 is a biodegradable product that complies with the criteria of Directive 648/2004 on detergents.
