ROKAmer 2000 is a non-ionic surfactant from the group of block copolymers of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. It is characterised by moderate hydrophobic properties. It has wetting and degreasing properties, which make it a very good component of detergents. The product is perfect as a component of professional products for dishwashers or preparations for degreasing metal surfaces. It is also used as a component of industrial bottle washers.

ROKAmer 2000 is a concentrated product that contains about 100% of the active ingredient. Its aqueous solution below room temperature appears as a colourless, clear liquid. It becomes cloudy at 23-27°C. It has a low solidification point below -20°.

Owing to its properties, the product reduces the surface tension between liquid and air, at the same time improving foam drainage, resulting in its reduction.

ROKAmer 2000 belongs to high molecular weight polymers with a characteristic bifunctional structure. This group of substances has two hydrophilic groups, which clearly distinguishes the ROKAmer series from other non-ionic surfactants. Owing to its low-foaming and anti-foaming properties, ROKAmer 2000 is readily used by manufacturers of professional cleaning products for industrial and institutional cleaning. The product is readily used in the so-called Clean in Place systems as a component of preparations used, for example, in breweries. In this application, it performs excellently in the process of reducing the foaming of washing baths even at low temperatures. It works well in neutral or slightly alkaline medium. The product works well in the presence of starches and proteins and also shows significant resistance to hard water.

ROKAmer 2000 is a reactive substance, and therefore it easily subjects itself to chemical processes leading to further modification. This is possible, among other things, via fatty acids. Derivatives of the product are excellent as anti-foaming additives in paper production or in the food industry, for example, in sugar beet processing. The product can also be used in other industries where foam formation is not desired. Thus, ROKAmer 2000 can be successfully used for foam reduction in wastewater treatment plants and in technological processes.

ROKAmer 2000 meets the criteria for substances approved for indirect food contact. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) confirms the use of the product or its derivatives as an anti-foaming or defoaming agent in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the FDA sections:

  • 173.340
  • 175.105
  • 176.170
  • 176.210
  • 177.1680
  • 177.1200
  • 178.1010
  • 178.3400
  • 178.3570

The product should be used in accordance with the guidelines and definitions of the FDA organisation, especially with regard to the use of authorised doses.

ROKAmer 2000 is a biodegradable substance, not classified according to the CLP/GHS Regulation.

The product is available in the Kosher and Kosher Passover option.
