ROKAmer 2100 is a non-ionic surfactant from the group of block copolymers of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. The product is a high molecular copolymer with a specific, bifunctional structure, meaning that it has two hydrophilic groups. This characteristic distinguishes the ROKAmer group from other non-ionic surfactants and determines their properties. The product is a colourless and clear liquid, containing about 100% of the active ingredient. It has a low solidification point (below 0°C). Aqueous solutions of ROKAmer 2100 become turbid at 23-27°C, while below room temperature they become clear. The product is a reactive substance and can therefore be subject to further chemical modification. In addition, it is a product resistant to hard water.
ROKAmer 2100 exhibits excellent low-foaming and anti-foaming properties, which predisposes it to be used as a component of professional washing and cleaning detergents. It is also characterised by good degreasing and wetting properties and moderate hydrophobicity. These features make it possible for it to be successfully used as a component of dishwasher detergents, metal degreasing agents, agents for industrial bottle washing, and more.
The ROKAmer 2100 is ideal for Clean in Place systems. It is a component of cleaning mixtures in brewing. Owing to its anti-foaming and defoaming properties, the product reduces foaming in washing baths, even in the presence of starches and proteins. Thanks to its properties, it reduces the surface tension between liquid and air, at the same time improving foam drainage, resulting in its reduction. ROKAmer derivatives are ideal as anti-foaming additives in paper production, in the food industry during the production of sugar and in other industries where there is a problem of excessive foaming of technological waters or wastewater.
ROKAmer 2100 is also a surfactant dedicated to the agrochemical industry, where it is an ingredient mainly in EC, SC, SE pesticide formulations.
The product and its derivatives have been approved as anti-foaming substances for indirect food contact by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in accordance with the guidelines set out in the following FDA sections:
The product should be used in accordance with the definitions and guidelines of the FDA, in particular, regarding the safe dosage of the product.
