Streak-free window cleaning? It's possible!

Nothing spoils the view outside the window like dirty windows. And nothing spoils our mood like smudges on clean windows. So what to clean windows with and how to do it so that the effects of our efforts are even… transparent? Here are some tips.

A reliable window cleaner that has been used for years is ... dishwashing liquid. It is a detergent that effectively removes all dirt (including greasy ones), both from glass and window frames. It is enough to dilute a small amount of high-quality dishwashing liquid (e.g. one of the extremely efficient concentrates of the FLO brand) in warm water and thoroughly clean the window with a soft cloth. Then, with another cloth, we collect the remains of the liquid and dirt from the window. Both cloths should be thoroughly rinsed in clean water before using them to clean the next window. Now all you have to do is dry the windows with a squeegee, paper towel or newspaper.

If there are streaks on our windows, we can try one of the following methods:

• After washing the windows with water and liquid, we can additionally wipe the windows with water and vinegar (the solution should be prepared in the following proportions: 2 teaspoons of vinegar to 1 glass of water); then we dry the windows with paper towels or newspapers;

• Instead of water with vinegar, we can use water with lemon juice (half of a large lemon is squeezed into a glass of water); windows will not only be streak-free, but will also smell beautiful;
• The effect of shiny (and fragrant) windows will also give us washing them with water with a washing liquid (1-2 teaspoons per 1 glass of water is enough), the use of washing liquid should also delay the re-settling of dust and dirt on the windows - this detergent has antistatic properties ;
• Microfiber cloths - these are specialized cloths that are much better at removing dirt from windows than ordinary cotton cloths, we can also polish windows with them (we will not have to invest in large amounts of paper towels or use newspapers).
