ROKAmer 1000 belongs to the group of non-ionic surfactants of the block copolymers of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide (ROKAmers). The product is a polymer with a specific, bifunctional structure, which means that it has two hydrophilic groups. This feature distinguishes the ROKAmer group from other non-ionic surfactants and determines their properties. ROKAmer 1000 is one of the products with anti-foaming properties. It is dedicated to professional detergents for institutional and industrial cleaning, as well as for some industrial processes.
ROKAmer 1000 is also used as a dispersant of dyes and pigments, it is also a carrier in pigment paste formulations used for coloring polyurethane foams. ROKAmer 1000 is a product resistant to hard water, dedicated to neutral or slightly alkaline formulations.
In addition, ROKAmer 1000 is a reactive surfactant and it is possible to further modify it, e.g. with fatty acids. Its derivatives can be anti-foaming components for the paper and food industries (e.g. sugar production), as well as for numerous processes in which the problem of foaming of sewage and technological waters arises. Thanks to its properties, the product reduces the surface tension between the liquid and the air, and at the same time improves the "drainage" of the foam, resulting in its reduction.
ROKAmer 1000 does not contain silicone, is not classified as a hazardous substance and is susceptible to aerobic biodegradation. ROKAmer 1000 complies with the regulations allowing the product to come into direct contact with food. The US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) allows the use of this product and its derivatives as an anti-foam under the conditions described in the following sections of the FDA:
Product advantages:
Application:
A non-ionic surfactant of the block copolymer type of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide used as a dispersant of dyes, pigments and as an anti-foaming agent in industrial applications.
The product is in the form of a clear, colorless liquid with a low freezing point, i.e. below -20°C and an active substance content of about 100%. The product is soluble in cold water. ROKAmer 1000 aqueous solutions are clear below room temperature and become cloudy at temperatures above 25°C. The product is a product with high hydrophobicity. This means that it can be used as a component of professional dishwasher detergents and anti-foaming agents. It can be used alone as an anti-foaming agent.
