ROKAmid KAD - Cocamide DEA - 68155-07-7 is a surface-active substance belonging to the group of non-ionic surfactants (INCI: Cocamide DEA). It is a clear or slightly turbid liquid with a light yellow or yellow color. The product is one of the basic co-surfactants, effective even at low concentrations of the active substance in solutions. The commercial product is in liquid form, which enables easy handling of the product both in technological processes and during transport and storage. ROKAmid KAD is successfully used to create various types of mixtures without the need for heating. This is an extremely important feature, especially when active substances with high sensitivity to elevated temperatures are used in the formulation.

ROKAmid KAD is a co-surfactant that, thanks to the ability to create mixed micelles, acts as a rheology modifier (thickener) that improves the consistency of cosmetic products. In formulations with anionic surfactants, it acts as an effective foam stabilizer, improving its quality and durability. The product is characterized by excellent washing properties. Effectively removes all dirt and impurities from the surface of the hair and skin. Thanks to its greasing properties, it does not cause irritation by rebuilding their lipid barrier. As a component of cosmetic formulations, the product protects the skin and hair against the harmful effects of external factors.

ROKAmid KAD as an effective thickener is perfect as a component of detergents for both home and professional use. The product is also successfully used as a component of vehicle washing and care preparations.

Excellent emulsifying properties predispose ROKAmid KAD to be used as a co-emulsifier supporting other emulsifiers contained in mixtures, responsible for emulsion formation. Due to the very good interaction with anionic surfactants, the product is a component of concrete admixtures. In particular, it is used in difficult applications where a high level of aeration is required. ROKAmid KAD in combination with metal salts creates an antistatic additive to polystyrene and impact-resistant polystyrene mixtures. The antistatic properties of the product are also successfully used in the production of plastics. High dispersibility in water is also of great importance here, thanks to which the product performs a sliding function in the production of some plastics based on polypropylene and polyethylene.

ROKAmid KAD - Cocamide DEA is also used in metalworking processes. Here it is used as a component of water-soluble, semi-synthetic and synthetic coolants. Another industrial application of this surfactant is the petroleum industry, where it is used together with other non-ionic surfactants dedicated to cleaning and degreasing.

ROKAmid KAD is manufactured on the basis of natural vegetable oils with a high biodegradability in the natural environment. The surfactant complies with the biodegradability criteria laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.
