C16-18-Alkylamin – ROKAmin SR5 – CAS 61791-26-2

ROKAmin SR5 is a non-ionic surfactant (INCI: PEG-5 Hydrogenated Tallow Amine) belonging to ethoxylated fatty amines. It is characterized by a medium degree of ethoxylation. It occurs in concentrated form and contains about 100% of active substance. It is resistant to hard water.

The commercial product is a viscous liquid or a flowing paste with a yellow or amber color. The product solidifies at about 15°C. is very slightly soluble in water. The product is slightly soluble in water.

The product in acidic applications shows a combination of non-ionic and cationic surfactant action. Thanks to its cationic character, ROKAmin SR5 creates a thin protective layer on the metal surface, i.e. a film. This is a very desirable feature, because thanks to it the product shows anti-corrosion action, especially in the case of ferrous metals susceptible to corrosion.

ROKAmin SR5 is a surfactant with very good emulsifying and leveling properties. These features predispose the product to use in fiber dyeing processes.

In the production of lubricants, ROKAmin SR5 is used as a component of cooling-lubricating formulations and flame-retardant hydraulic fluids.

The product also works very well in the agrochemical industry, where its excellent emulsifying properties are used, especially in formulations such as: EW, EC, SL, ME, WP, WG. As an emulsifier in agrochemicals, the product can be used as a stand-alone substance or in combination with other surfactants.

ROKAmin SR5 is also characterized by excellent detergency. It effectively removes solid and even the most stubborn dirt. It works well in acidic and alkaline formulations and is highly resistant to hard water. Thanks to such features, the product is a very good ingredient for the production of preparations dedicated to the industrial and institutional cleaning industry. It is therefore used as an ingredient in hard surface cleaners, industrial degreasers and metal element cleaners.
