ROKAmer 2600 – EO/PO-Blockcopolymer

ROKAmer 2600 - EO/PO block copolymer is a non-ionic surface-active chemical compound belonging to the chemical group called "ethylene oxide and propylene oxide block copolymers". Together with other products of this type, it forms the ROKAmer series. The product contains about 100% of active substance and has excellent anti-foaming properties. It is therefore intended mainly for use in industrial processes, wherever foam generation is not desired. Due to its properties, the product reduces the surface tension between the liquid and the air, and at the same time improves the "drainage" of foam, resulting in its reduction.

ROKAmer 2600 belongs to high molecular polymers and has two hydrophilic groups. This is a feature of ROKAmers that determines their specific properties and distinguishes them from other non-ionic surfactants.

ROKAmer 2600 - EO/PO block copolymer is a surfactant occurring in the form of a clear or slightly turbid liquid. Its freezing point is relatively low and is below -20°C. It is characterized by high hydrophobicity. It dissolves very well in cold water. At 16°C the product acquires antifoaming properties, and its aqueous solutions become turbid. It is a reactive surfactant, therefore it is easily subject to further modifications, e.g. with fatty acids.

ROKAmer 2600 is often used as a defoaming agent for the production of professional detergents due to its properties. The product reduces the foaming properties of other surfactants contained in finished products. Rokamer 2600 derivatives are also antifoaming components used in paper production, as well as in the food industry, e.g. in sugar production. The product is also used in numerous industrial processes, where the problem of excessive foaming of technological waters occurs. It is also used for defoaming sewage.

ROKAmer 2600 and its derivatives are products approved for indirect contact with food by the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The product should be used in accordance with the criteria and guidelines described in the following sections:

ROKAmer 2600 as an antifoaming agent can be used in accordance with the FDA definitions, not exceeding the maximum permitted dose.

The product does not contain silicone. It is a biodegradable product, not classified as a hazardous substance.
