Rokopol vTec8911 can be used to produce viscoelastic polyurethane foams using a continuous system (slabstock) and periodic production (batch). Using Rokopol® vTec770 and appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, foaming agents) it is possible to produce blocks of viscoelastic foam with a rectangular cross-section and a height of up to 90 cm. Thanks to its high parameters, the product can be widely used in the furniture industry for the production of mattresses and pillows.
Main application advantages of Rokopol® vTec8911:
- possibility of producing foams with densities from 40 to 80 kg/m3 and hardness ranges from 1-3kPa,
- the use of the product allows the production of foam with a breaking strength above 50 kPa and a relative elongation at break above 50%,
- foam recovery time 1-10 s,
- slight impact of temperature changes in the range of 5-40°C on foam hardness,
- increase in hardness at 5°C below 30% compared to hardness at 23°C,
- very open cell structure of the foam (air permeability) improving the "quality of sleep",
- perfect shape of the resulting foam block.
The most common applications of Rokopol® vTec8911:
- production of viscoelastic polyurethane foams,
- in the furniture industry it is used to produce mattresses and pillows with an increased comfort factor,
- used for the production of gel, viscoelastic and elastic foams.
