Rokopol® vTec8020 is a polyether polyol. The product is a homogeneous, mechanically impurity-free liquid that may opalesce. The product contains antioxidants (excluding BHT) and is characterized by high purity and low emissions. The product has a hydroxyl number in the range of 177-193 mg KOH/g and is characterized by dynamic viscosity in the range of 200 - 400 mPas at 25°C.

Rokopol vTec8020 can be used to produce viscoelastic polyurethane foams using a continuous system (slabstock) and periodic production (batch). Using Rokopol® vTec8020 and appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, foaming agents) it is possible to produce blocks of viscoelastic foam with a rectangular cross-section and a height of up to 70 cm. Thanks to its excellent parameters, the product can be widely used in the furniture industry for the production of mattresses and pillows.

Main application advantages of Rokopol® vTec8020:
  • possibility of producing foams with densities from 40 to 70 kg/m3 and hardness ranges from 1-3kPa,
  • the use of the product allows the production of foam with a breaking strength above 80 kPa and a relative elongation at break above 60%,
  • foam recovery time 1-10 s,
  • slight impact of temperature changes in the range of 5-40°C on foam hardness,
  • increase in hardness at 5°C below 50% compared to hardness at 23°C,
  • possibility of producing foams with an open or closed cell structure,
  • excellent permanent deformation parameters enabling high foam compression during transport.

The most common applications of Rokopol® vTec8020:

  • production of viscoelastic polyurethane foams,
  • polyol used in the furniture industry to produce mattresses and pillows with an increased comfort factor,
  • used for the production of gel, viscoelastic and elastic foams.

Products manufactured on the basis of Rokopol® vTec8020 are characterized by very high quality. Thanks to the refined production process, this polyol is characterized by very good parameters and a wide range of applications.
