Tensid Isotrideceth-3 ROKAnol IT3

ROKAnol IT3 is a non-ionic surfactant. This surfactant belongs to ethoxylated fatty alcohols with the INCI name: Isotrideceth-3. It occurs in a highly concentrated form and contains about 100% of the active substance.

The product co-creates the ROKAnol group of the IT series, which are manufactured based on isotridecyl alcohol (iso-C13). The product contains about 100% of the active substance. It dissolves poorly in water. It easily forms emulsions.

ROKAnol IT3 is a clear or slightly turbid liquid that tends to separate. At 40°C it has high clarity and a light color of max. 100 on the Hazen scale. It solidifies at about -20°C.

Compared to other ROKAnol products from the IT series, ROKAnol® IT3 is highly hydrophobic. It has a low cloud point in the temperature range of 48–51 ^° C (in butyl diglycol/water solution).

The non-ionic nature of ROKAnol IT3 makes the product work very well with other non-ionic, anionic and cationic surface-active compounds.

Among the ROKAnol IT series, ROKAnol IT3 stands out because it does not have foaming properties. Instead, it has excellent detergent, emulsifying and dispersing properties.

The product works very well as a co-surfactant in various types of cleaning preparations, especially in formulations dedicated to industrial and institutional applications.

Together with ROKAnol IT8 and IT9, the product is used in the production of professional institutional laundry detergents, where it ensures very high effectiveness.

ROKAnol IT3 is also used as an ingredient in personal hygiene products, where it has a cleansing and emulsifying function. It is an ingredient in products such as shower gels and liquid soaps.

The product is also used as an emulsifier for fragrances, e.g. in hair and body fragrance mists. The product's ability to emulsify oils is also successfully used in the production of aerosol air fresheners.

ROKAnol IT3 is used in many other industrial applications, including iron ore enrichment processes. The product also has the ability to emulsify mineral oil. This property predisposes it to be used in preparations for removing stains from machine (mineral) oil during pre-treatment of fabrics or knitwear. ROKAnol IT3 as a co-surfactant is also used in formulations dedicated to bleaching processes of cotton fibers.

ROKAnol IT3 is also used in plant protection products, mainly in liquid pesticide formulations of the EC, EW and SE types.

In addition, the product is a proven component of air-entraining admixtures for concrete and cement mortars. Used in this application, it provides excellent wetting of cement grains, as well as facilitates the introduction of small air bubbles into the formed mass. This improves the plasticity of the fresh mixture, where the air bubbles act as bearings, increasing the workability of the mass without having to change the W/C ratio.

ROKAnol IT3 is a biodegradable product. It meets the biodegradability criteria described in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.

Product available in Kosher and Kosher Pareve options.
