ROKAnol® LN75/50 is a non-ionic surfactant (INCI: PEG-75 Lanolin), which is an ethoxylated derivative of lanolin. The product is dedicated especially to the cosmetics industry. It also works well as a component of detergents and professional agents for washing and industrial cleaning.
ROKAnol LN75/50 - PEG-75 Lanolin is a derivative of lanolin, which has good solubility in water. It is mainly used as an emollient and conditioning agent in cosmetics belonging to personal hygiene products and to the group of care cosmetics.
As a component of cosmetic care formulations, the product creates a protective film on the surface of hair and skin. This prevents rapid evaporation of water, thanks to which it has a softening and smoothing effect. The excellent wetting properties of ROKAnol® LN75/50 facilitate the removal of impurities from the surface of skin and hair.
The commercial product is in the form of a liquid. It contains about 50% water. This form makes it much easier to handle the product in process conditions and to produce ready-made formulations.
In some systems, polyoxyethylene lanolin has the ability to limit the irritating effect of anionic surfactants. It also acts as a solubilizer, i.e. it facilitates the application of substances insoluble or sparingly soluble in water to aqueous solutions. Such substances include, among others, fragrance compositions (perfumes, essential oils), antiseptics, plant extracts or fats.
ROKAnol® LN75/50 also acts as an excellent emulsifier in oil-in-water (O/W) systems. It is a very good rheology modifier, improving the consistency of the formulation. The product increases the viscosity in detergents containing anionic surfactants.
