ROKAmin SR8 is a non-ionic surfactant. Its INCI name is PEG-8 Hydrogenated Tallow Amine.

The product belongs to the group of ethoxylated fatty amines with an average degree of ethoxylation of 8 moles.

The commercial product is present in a concentration of about 72-77% of the active substance in solution . It is in the form of a liquid or a pourable paste with a yellow to brown color. The product solidifies at a temperature of 25°C. It is a substance that is highly soluble in water.

The product in acidic systems shows a combination of cationic and nonionic surfactant action in application . This is due to the presence of a double oxyethylene chain at the nitrogen atom.

The cationic nature of the ROKAmin SR8 molecule gives the product the ability to create a specific protective layer (film) on the metal surface. The product thus gains anti-corrosion properties, especially in the case of ferrous metals.

ROKAmin SR8 is a surfactant that works very well as an emulsifier and leveling agent in the fibre dyeing process.

In the production of lubricants, the product is used as a component of cooling and lubricating fluids and flame-retardant hydraulic fluids . Its emulsifying properties enable the use of ROKAmin SR8 in agrochemical mixtures of the following types: EW, EC, SL, ME, WP, WG. It can be used here as a stand-alone surfactant or in combination with other surfactants.

ROKAmin SR8 surfactant also has very good detergent properties . It effectively removes even the worst and solid dirt. It works great in both acidic and alkaline mixtures.

The product is highly resistant to hard water , which means it can be used as a component of hard surface cleaning agents . ROKAmin SR8 is also excellent as a component in the production of industrial degreasers, as well as metal cleaning agents.
