ROKAnol RZ4P11 - C16-18 alcohol, ethoxylated, propoxylated - CAS 68002-96-0 is a liquid with a tendency to separate over time. The product's solidification temperature is below -20°C and the active substance content is about 100%. ROKAnol® RZ4P11 is a product that is insoluble in water and forms a separate phase in it. The product's cloud point is within the range of 23-27°C for butyl diglycol solution (16.7%), which makes the product one of the most hydrophobic among low-foaming products.

It is used primarily as an anti-foaming agent in industrial processes, especially in the paper and food industries, e.g. in potato processing or sugar production. Its hydrophobic nature causes the product to migrate to the surface of the liquid. Thanks to its properties, the product reduces the surface tension between the liquid and the air. At the same time, it improves the "drainage" of foam, resulting in a reduction of its volume. These properties are used, among others, in the construction industry, where ROKAnol® RZ4P11 serves as an anti-foaming agent in plasticizing admixtures for concrete. The product is also used as a component of wetting formulations used in the production of ceramic tiles.

Apart from industrial applications, ROKAnol® RZ4P11 can be used as an antifoam agent in detergents, where it is used instead of silicone agents.

In order to facilitate application, water emulsions of ROKAnol® RZ4P11 are prepared by selecting appropriate emulsifiers or by preparing a solution of the product with solvents or solubilizers.

ROKAnol® RZ4P11 does not contain silicone, is not a hazardous substance and complies with regulations allowing the product to come into indirect contact with food. The American FDA (Food and Drug Administration) allows the use of this product as an antifoaming agent in the production of packaging paper.
