About product
Anhydrous calcium hydroxide (slaked lime ) – Ca(OH)2 inorganic lime base, which is obtained on an industrial scale in the reaction of quicklime (CaO) with water. Slaked lime is poorly soluble in water. The aqueous solution of quicklime is limewater (milk of lime). Dry calcium hydroxide is commonly used to deacidify soils. Anhydrous calcium hydroxide is used in construction as a binder for masonry and plaster mortars and as a component of building materials.
Anhydrous calcium hydroxide (slaked lime) - an inorganic hydroxide that is formed in a strongly exothermic reaction of calcium oxide with water. It is poorly soluble in water. Aqueous solutions of calcium hydroxide are limewater and milk of lime. Anhydrous calcium hydroxide is used to deacidify soils. Slaked lime, also known as slaked lime, is a component of masonry mortar (cement-lime). Anhydrous calcium hydroxide is used in construction as a binder for masonry mortars, plasters, and concrete. Milk of lime is used to whitewash walls in farm buildings, whitewash fruit tree trunks. In the sugar industry, it is used in the process of purifying beet juice. It is commonly used in industry and power engineering for flue gas desulfurization. Slaked lime is used to produce lime fertilizers. It is a bactericidal agent.
Additionally, it is used in:
• sewage treatment
• purification of drinking water
• pH regulation
• obtaining sodium and potassium hydroxide
• water softening process
• dentistry as a filling component
• production of artificial fertilizers
• CO2 detection
