The presence of calcium in plants is essential for proper cell development. On the other hand, its deficiencies result in poorer fruit durability (in storage conditions) and lower firmness. In order to provide the fruit with the right amount of this substance, it is worth using calcium chloride sprays - the high content of calcium in chloride in relation to, for example, calcium nitrate will allow effective supply of fruit.
When spraying, pay attention to whether the solution evenly covers the surface of the fruit. Spraying should be done four times a year - right after the appearance of the leaves (usually late March-early April), then another in May, the next in early July and at the turn of August and September. It is worth checking the temperature in advance - it should not exceed 23 degrees, as there is a risk of damage to the leaves.
The amount of solution for each cubic meter of working liquid should be carefully selected - it is worth spending no more than 4 kg for the first spraying. With subsequent spraying, the amount increases to 6 kg. with a capacity of 500 liters of spray liquid per hectare.
