What is stoneware?

Gres - ceramic tiles fired at high temperature with a microporous structure characterized by low water absorption and high resistance to abrasion. Porcelain tiles are an attractive alternative to ordinary ceramic tiles because they are stronger and more resistant to frost. They can be used both inside the house and outside on balconies or terraces. Gres comes in many varieties, colors, styles and formats. This is a solution for people who value elegance, quality and freedom in choosing the size and shape of tiles.

Is gres easy to clean?

Porcelain tiles, although considered to be one of the most resistant materials, like any utility element, require proper care. On the one hand, they have many visual and functional advantages, on the other hand, they can be susceptible to dirt, especially when we have chosen polished gres. Increased microporosity has a direct impact on easier penetration of dirt. This can lead to graying of the tile surface. Over time, penetrating dirt can be very difficult to remove, and sometimes even impossible. However, proper care and regular cleaning of stoneware almost completely eliminates the problem. Where to start?

How to clean gres?

Daily use of gres tiles first requires ordinary systematic cleaning work, i.e. regular vacuuming.

The vacuumed floor should be washed with a dedicated gres cleaning liquid , which will effectively remove dirt and will not leave streaks or a layer of the used preparation on the surface. In places where mud is usually spread or grease or oil brought under the shoes, intensive preparations should be used that, on the one hand, will act on stains, and on the other hand, will not leave discoloration on the surface. In this case, it is worth choosing proven products that will not destroy our tiles. It is also worth making a test of the liquid we have purchased, on an inconspicuous place of the tiles, checking whether the liquid does not stain our color .

For proper care of gres tiles, it is recommended to use a dedicated cleaning agent together with microfibre cloths. For routine and intensive washing with automatic cleaning machines, as an optimal cleaning method, we recommend using the Erol® system in combination with microfibre pads. Buzil Erol® G490 Alkaline Tile Cleaner is an intensive, alkaline (pH 12.5) tile cleaner. It is perfect for all kinds of alkali-resistant porous surfaces. It has low-foaming and dirt-binding properties. It penetrates deeply into the pores of the cleaned surface, fighting even the most persistent dirt, e.g. oil or grease.

Buzil Erol® G490 Alkaline Tile Cleaner works best when used in a system with Erolcid® G491 acidic, low-foaming fluid. The acidic product Erolcid® G 491 removes cement, rust and scale deposits on stoneware, anti-slip tiles and other acid-resistant materials. With both of these products, the Erol® system, a perfect, clean appearance is achieved .
