Product made to order, delivery time 5 weeks from the date of order confirmationPOLIkol 400PF, Pharmaceutical grade polyethylene glycol (Ph. Eur.), Macrogol 400, PEG 400 - meets the stringent quality requirements specified in the latest edition of the European Pharmacopoeia, thanks to which it can be classified as macrogol. Macrogols are the pharmacopoeial name of polyethylene glycols, which are used as ingredients in medicines, ointments, dermocosmetics or other pharmaceutical formulations.
Due to their specific properties, macrogols act as solvents and solubilizers of active and auxiliary substances in pharmaceutical formulations. They are substances that improve rheological properties (increase viscosity) of liquid pharmaceutical preparations and ointments, and also play a stabilizing role in formulations. These products are used as binding agents for active substances. They are also used as humectants, i.e. agents whose task is to bind water included in the formulation, thanks to which they ensure even distribution of ingredients in them. In addition, macrogols are safe, non-toxic substances and are characterized by the lack of negative environmental classification.
