POLIkol 2000 - PEG-45 - 25322-68-3 can be used as a solubilizer, lubricant and dispersant in cosmetics, acting as a base for creams and lipsticks. It is also used in varnishes, gels, conditioners and hair coloring preparations, as well as preparations used after sunbathing. It is compatible with other moisturizing agents widely used in cosmetics (cetyl alcohol, glycerin).

Thanks to very good dispersing properties and good solubility in water, this product is recommended for combining many active ingredients of the formulation. It can act as a plasticizer and binding agent for bar soaps, preventing them from cracking. Thanks to its lubricating properties, it is also included in intimate gels (lubricants), in which it provides adequate hydration and reduces friction. It guarantees a pleasant feeling on the skin without leaving a greasy film. Used in perfumes, it acts as a fragrance fixative, reduces the rate of evaporation of the more volatile components of the perfume composition, causing only gradual changes in the fragrance.

POLIkol 2000 is also used as a lubricant in the food industry. The product exhibits characteristics of a drying preventer in flexographic ink formulations. It has a positive opinion of international organizations, such as the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), which allows the use of polyethylene glycol in the form of an indirect food additive based on the CFR 21 list:
