The low-foaming agent ROKAfenol N6P4 belongs to the group of non-ionic surfactants. It is a nonylphenyl copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. The commercial product is in the form of an oily liquid.
ROKAfenol N6P4 shows good solubility in water, but only at a temperature below 17°C, because it turns cloudy when heated. The reason for this is the low cloud point of 17-20°C in aqueous solution. The cloud point of the product for the butyldiglycol/water solution is in the range of 36-42°C. The solidification point oscillates around 0°C, and the content of the active substance is about 100%.
The low-foaming agent ROKAfenol N6P4 is used as a component of washing, cleaning and washing agents. It has excellent emulsifying and dispersing properties. Its characteristic feature is low foam formation. In some formulations it is used as an anti-foaming agent.
ROKAfenol N6P4 shows emulsibility in aqueous and non-aqueous systems containing other surfactants, mineral and vegetable oils and organic solvents. It is a surface-active compound that retains its washing capacity in cold and hard water. ROKAfenol N6P4 can be used in a mixture with other non-ionic auxiliary agents and together with anionic and cationic agents.
