Rodys LP dispersant is a surfactant, which is a sodium salt of polycondensate of naphthalene acids with formaldehyde. It is offered as a beige powder and has a very low water content and low bulk density. The main application of Rodys LP is the creation of wax dispersions with the desired physicochemical properties (viscosity, stability over time, size of dispersed particles). However, it can also be used in other types of colloidal systems or stable aqueous suspensions.
Rodys LP dispersant is available in the following packages:
Product made to order, delivery time 80 working days from the date of order confirmation. Minimum order quantity - 12 tons.
Rodys LP is a surfactant, which is a sodium salt of polycondensate of naphthalene acids with formaldehyde. It is offered as a beige powder and has a very low water content and low bulk density. The latter feature translates into savings in the costs of transport and storage of the product. Chemically and in terms of application, it is the equivalent of Rodys L.
The production technology of Rodys LP allows to obtain a product containing trace amounts of free formaldehyde and free naphthalene, thanks to which it does not have an environmental classification and does not affect the content of free aromatic hydrocarbons in the products for which it is used.
Rodys LP is a dispersing compound composed of an organic chain with hydrophobic properties and a hydrophilic inorganic sulfone group. Thanks to this structure, it can adsorb on particles of solids and form a layer of identical electric charges on them (sulfone groups). Their mutual repulsion causes the disintegration of agglomerates of these particles and enables the formation of systems, most often colloidal and non-coagulating suspensions of solids in a continuous liquid phase (water). Rodys LP enables the formation of a time-stable dispersion, inhibiting the re-aggregation of particles. The stability of the dispersion is also expressed by the dynamic viscosity of the system which is constant over time.
The main application of Rodys LP is the creation of wax dispersions with the desired physicochemical properties (viscosity, stability over time, size of dispersed particles). However, it can also be used in other types of colloidal systems or stable aqueous suspensions. Due to the complexity of the dispersion formation process and the variety of their characteristic parameters, it is recommended to test the product in laboratory conditions.
Rodys LP is a very good dispersant in water systems. Its great advantage is the powder form, which reduces transport costs even over long distances.
