ROKAmid RAD - Oleamide DEA, Rapamide DEA is a non-ionic surfactant produced on the basis of rapeseed oil belonging to the group of alkanolamides (INCI Rapamide DEA or Oleamide DEA). It occurs in the form of a clear or slightly turbid liquid. It usually takes on a light yellow to yellow color. The product is classified as a co-surfactant, but it is not as widely used as Cocamide DEA. However, it is characterized by better thickening properties.

As a component of formulations containing anionic compounds, ROKAmid RAD acts as a rheology modifier. Thus, it causes compaction, improving the consistency of the finished product. The product works effectively even at low concentrations. In combination with anionic surfactants, generate foams with high stability and density. It is effective at both low and high temperatures.

ROKAmid RAD is a surfactant with good antistatic and emulsifying properties. Supports the action of other emulsifiers responsible for the production of many different emulsions.

Thanks to the ability to re-grease, ROKAmid RAD is used in washing preparations. Since the cleaning process removes fatty substances, re-greasing agents such as ROKAmid RAD are deliberately used. They are designed to rebuild the lipid barrier of the skin or hair. As a washing substance, it also removes other impurities from the surface of the skin and hair.

The product also works well as an ingredient in industrial cleaning agents. It is also used in the production of degreasing preparations in the petroleum industry. This application primarily uses the synergistic effect of the product with other non-ionic degreasing agents.

Due to the very good interaction also with anionic surfactants, ROKAmid RAD is used in the construction industry as a component of concrete admixtures. It works very well here as an aeration additive. The product in mixtures with metallic salts forms an antistatic additive to polystyrene and impact-resistant polystyrene mixtures

The dispersing abilities of ROKAmid RAD predispose it to be used in slip preparations used in the production of plastic parts based on polyethylene and polypropylene. The surfactant also works well in water-based, semi-synthetic and synthetic coolants for metalworking and in preparations for polishing metal surfaces.

The liquid form of ROKAmid RAD makes handling the product easy, especially during dosing, transport and storage. It also allows you to combine components of mixtures without the need for heating. This is important in the case of active ingredients of the formulation that are sensitive to high temperatures.
