Soda lye (sodium hydroxide in water solution) is one of the basic chemical raw materials, which is used in almost all branches of industry. Sodium hydroxide is produced by a membrane manufacturing process that is environmentally friendly. The energy used for production comes from renewable energy sources. The main recipient of soda lye is the construction industry, which uses the product in:
- sodium carrier in the synthesis of specialized ionic surfactants, - catalyst (reagent) for the ethoxylation and propoxylation process, - neutralizer (reagent) for the sulfonation process,
Other uses of soda lye:
Color | colorless liquid |
pH | 13-14 |
Density | 1.33g/cm3 |
Fe ( Fe2O3 ) | max. 5mg/kg |
NaCl | max. 0.1% (m/m) |
Storage:
Temperature range in which the product properties do not change: from +10oC to +60oC, shelf life - unlimited for properly stored product. At a temperature below +10oC, the product may solidify, returning to a liquid form does not change the physical and chemical properties of the raw material and does not constitute grounds for complaint.
