Tequat LC90i is a cationic surfactant. It is obtained in the condensation reaction of fatty acids of animal origin and triethanolamine, and then quaternized. The product is offered in isopropanol, in the form of a soft white to yellow paste. Tequat LC90i contains 90% of the active ingredient INCI: Dihydrogenated Tallowethyl Hydroxyethylmonium Methosulfate & Ditallowethyl Hydroxyethylmonium Methosulfate. The product forms dispersions in water.
The product is used as a softening antistatic agent, which is the main component of liquids and fabric softener concentrates in the household chemistry industry.
Tequat LC90i is a new class of cationic surfactants, called esterquats. It has an advantage over previous product generations, e.g. due to easier biodegradability (due to the presence of ester bonds), lower toxicity and lower irritating potential.
In addition, the product is characterized by anti-electrostatic and fiber softening properties. This surfactant is used worldwide mainly as an active ingredient in concentrates and fabric softeners in household chemicals. The use of Tequat LC90i allows you to remove the stiffness, roughness and roughness of fabrics, giving them softness, fluffiness, and also facilitates the discharge of electrostatic charges. What's more, it can be used to antistaticize industrial fibers and as a component of waxes and car care pastes in car cosmetics.
Tequat LC90i is easily biodegradable. The product meets the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of March 31, 2004. on detergents.
